Addition Financial Annual Meeting

In order to keep the membership informed, and pursuant to Article V, Section 1, of the Bylaws of Addition Financial Credit Union (“Addition Financial”), this Notice has been prepared and distributed to all of the members of Addition Financial eligible to vote in the 2025 Board elections (the “Members”).

Nominations for vacancies on the Board of Directors may be made by petition signed by at least two percent (2%) of the Members. The closing date for Addition Financial’s receipt of completed nominations by petition is Friday, March 7, 2025, and any nomination by petition must be timely delivered to: Samuel M. Nelson, CAO & General Counsel, at: 1000 Primera Boulevard, Lake Mary, Florida 32746.

To become a candidate through the nomination by petition process, eligible and bondable Members must request and complete all official petition forms. Any person seeking to file a nomination by petition must obtain the necessary instructions, requirements, and forms by contacting: Samuel M. The election will be held at Addition Financial’s Annual Meeting occurring Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., virtually. All Members are invited to attend the election and the Annual Meeting by registering at AdditionFi.com/AnnualMeeting. Once registered, Members will receive instructions for how to join, participate, and vote during the virtual meeting. The election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor if the total number of nominees that have been nominated either by petition or by Addition Financial’s Nominating Committee (the “Nominees”) equals the number of positions to be filled.

The Nominating Committee has unanimously endorsed Richard Collins and Cary D’Ortona, to fill the two board seats with terms expiring in 2025.

All Addition Financial Members are invited to attend the Annual Meeting and election by registering at the link below. Once registered, Members will receive instructions for how to join, participate, and vote during the virtual meeting.

2025 Board of Director Nominations

Richard Collins

Mr. Collins has been a valued member of the Board of Directors at Addition Financial Credit Union since 2010. He previously served on the Supervisory Committee for 15 years, including as Chairman from 1999. Over the years, he has contributed to numerous committees and holds the position of Chairman of the board.

A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Mr. Collins earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, summa cum laude, with a concentration in Accounting in 1978. He became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1981. Early in his career, Mr. Collins spent six years auditing state and local government entities with the Office of the Auditor General. He then moved to the Orange County School District, where he held various roles, culminating in his position as Director of Budget and Finance.

In 1995, Mr. Collins transitioned to the Osceola County School District as Assistant Superintendent for Business Services, a role he held for 11 years. He later served as Chief Financial Officer for Orange County Public Schools for a decade. Mr. Collins concluded his distinguished career in 2019 as the Chief Financial Officer at Seminole State College.

Mr. D’Ortona was appointed as an interim director in 2024 and currently serves on both the Budget and Education Committees. He previously dedicated 14 years to the Supervisory Committee.

In his professional role, Mr. D’Ortona is the president of Orlando Health Medical Group and senior vice president of Orlando Health. Prior to his current role, he served as president of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital and held several key leadership positions within the hospital, including chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Mr. D’Ortona also gained extensive experience in finance and internal audit at Orlando Health.

Before his tenure with Orlando Health, Mr. D’Ortona worked as an auditor at Ernst & Young, LLP.

Mr. D’Ortona earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in accountancy, both from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Additionally, he holds a Master of Science in Health Services Administration.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. D’Ortona serves as vice chairman of Special Olympics Florida and is a member of the board of directors for the University of Central Florida Foundation.
