Banking Tips When Traveling Abroad
Here are some best practices and safety tips for accessing your Addition Financial accounts when traveling internationally.
Before Your Trip
- Download the Digital Banking app and get all set up for convenient and secure access to your accounts
- Create a travel notice for your debit and/or credit card for international travel by calling 800-771-9411 or via Digital Banking to ensure uninterrupted usage of your cards and to help prevent fraud
- Set up alerts in Digital Banking to monitor your accounts
- Confirm your contact information is up to date
- Since point of sale/terminal devices vary across countries, it's a good idea to carry physical credit/debit cards along with a digital wallet.
- Confirm your Addition Financial cards’ foreign transaction fees, fees for withdrawals at an international ATM, and your daily card limits to make sure they'll fit your needs. Puerto Rico is considered international travel for debit card transactions. View Fee Schedule.
During Your Trip
- Additionfi.com is not accessible outside the United States. If you are traveling internationally or using a VPN that connects you to a different country, you will not have access to our website.

- Contact Addition Financial 24/7 at 800-771-9411 with any questions
- Addition Financial debit/credit cards can be used at any merchant or ATM with a Visa logo.
